AA050372.tifPete and Sally had been married for over 30 years. They’d raised their children together and worked extremely hard all their lives, but even so, they’d drifted apart and were living separate lives. Seriously considering divorce, relatives suggested that they try the Weekend to Remember® before doing so and even paid their way so they would go.

Pete and Sally arrived on Friday evening distant, angry, and hostile. They did not want to be there—and after seeing “The Master Plan” for marriage in their manual (outlining God’s purposes for marriage), they were even more resistant. However, they attended all the sessions, diligently worked through all the projects together, and significantly softened and warmed to one another during the weekend. On speaking to them on the Sunday, you would not have believed they were the same couple.

Soon after the conference, Pete sent this text to the relatives who had paid for their registration: “The weekend has changed everything for me! I learned so much! Everyone should have the opportunity to go to this conference and I hope that I can send someone along one day—wow! This truly has been awesome.”
